THE HOLY FESTIVALS OF
GOD
AND
THE APPOINTED TIMES OF
GOD
1 And the LORD spoke to
Moses, saying, 2 "Speak to the children of
Israel, and say to them: 'The feasts of the LORD, which you shall proclaim to be
holy convocations, these are My feasts. Leviticus 23:1-2
I HAVE COME TO FULFILL, TO RESTORE AND TO
ESTABLISH FIRMLY
John the Baptist came to give the
baptism of water for repentance unto salvation. Jesus came to give the baptism
of water, baptism of Holy Spirit and baptism of fire, and to save the world.
Now, I have come to give the baptism of water, baptism of Holy Spirit, baptism
of fire and baptism of blood. As Jesus did not come to abolish the laws and the
prophets, but to fulfill them, so I have come neither to abolish the laws and
the prophets nor to change them, but to fulfill them, to restore them and to
establish them firmly, even with the everlasting victory of the Almighty. The
same Holy Spirit from Jesus, and as Jesus, is doing all these things to the
glory of the Father.
Read the original Ten Commandments in
Exodus chapter 20. Any other Ten Commandments were fabricated at meetings,
councils, synods and conferences. Those who teach man-made doctrines deceive
themselves and as well mislead the ignorant masses into the hell fire, as Jesus
warned in Bible saying,
8 "These people draw near to Me with their mouth,
And honor Me
with their lips,
But their heart is far from Me.
9 And in vain they worship Me,
Teaching as doctrines
the commandments of men.'"
Matthew 15:8-9
WARNING TO THE WORLD
Despite the teachings of Jesus Christ,
the world still celebrates pagan festivals to their own deceit and detriment.
The result is that today, majority are not entering heaven. Of all the billions
and billions of those who have died, the number that have
attained heaven is less than 3%.
Jesus warned that those who would inherit the kingdom of God are
those who hear and do the laws of God as handed down to Moses.
"Do not
think that I came to destroy the Law or the Prophets. I did not come to destroy
but to fulfill. 18 For
assuredly, I say to you, till heaven and earth pass away, one jot or one title
will by no means pass from the law till all is fulfilled. 19 Whoever therefore breaks one of the least
of these commandments, and teaches men so, shall be called least in the kingdom
of heaven; but whoever does and teaches them, he shall be called great in the
kingdom of heaven. Matthew 5:17-20
Instead of complying with what Jesus said, people are busy
changing the laws, times and festivals of God and still are bold to say that
God does not change. And God warned in the scriptures that the anti-Christ
would change His laws, times and festivals.
23
"Thus he said:
'The fourth
beast shall be
A fourth
kingdom on earth,
Which shall be different from all other kingdoms,
And shall
devour the whole earth,
Trample it
and break it in pieces.
24 The ten
horns are ten kings
Who shall
arise from this kingdom.
And another
shall rise after them;
He shall be different from the first ones,
And shall subdue three kings.
25 He shall speak pompous words against the
Most High,
Shall persecute the saints of the Most High,
And shall intend to change times and law.
Then the
saints shall be given into his hand
For a time and times and half a time.
Daniel
7:23-25
And God gave several warnings in the scriptures that His laws,
times and festivals are eternal. How can people claim to observe the New
Testament, whereas the New Testament had not been written at the time of Jesus?
The Holy Weekly Festival Of
God
1. Sabbath Day
8 "Remember the Sabbath day, to keep it
holy. 9 Six days you shall labor and do all your work, 10 but the seventh day
is the Sabbath of the LORD your God. In it you shall do no work: you, nor your son, nor your daughter, nor your male servant, nor your
female servant, nor your cattle, nor your stranger who is within your
gates. 11 For in six days the LORD made the heavens and the earth, the sea, and
all that is in them, and rested the seventh day. Therefore the LORD blessed the
Sabbath day and hallowed it.
Exodus 20:8-11
3 'Six days shall work
be done, but the seventh day is a Sabbath of solemn rest, a holy convocation.
You shall do no work on it; it is the Sabbath of the LORD in all your
dwellings.
Leviticus 23:3
The Holy Monthly Festival Of
God
1.
New Moon
3 Blow the trumpet at
the time of the New Moon ,
At the full moon, on
our solemn feast day.
4 For this is a statute
for Israel,
A law
of the God of Jacob.
5 This He established
in Joseph as a testimony,
When He went throughout
the land of Egypt,
Where I heard a
language I did not understand.
Psalms 81:3-5
22 "For as the new heavens and
the new earth
Which I will make shall remain before
Me," says the LORD,
"So shall your descendants and
your name remain.
23 And it shall come to pass
That from one New Moon to another,
And from one Sabbath to another,
All flesh shall come to worship
before Me," says the LORD.
24 "And they shall go forth and
look
Upon the corpses of the men
Who have transgressed against Me.
For their worm does not die,
And their fire is not quenched.
They shall be an
abhorrence to all flesh."
Isaiah 66:22-24
'And in the seventh month, on the first day of the month, you shall have
a holy convocation. You shall do no customary work. For you it is a day of
blowing the trumpets.
2 You shall offer a burnt offering as a sweet aroma to the LORD: one young
bull, one ram, and seven lambs in their first year, without blemish. 3 Their
grain offering shall be fine flour mixed with oil: three-tenths of an ephah for the bull, two-tenths for the ram, 4 and one-tenth
for each of the seven lambs; 5 also one kid of the goats as a sin offering, to
make atonement for you; 6 besides the
burnt offering with its grain offering for the New Moon, the regular burnt
offering with its grain offering, and their drink offerings, according to their
ordinance, as a sweet aroma, an offering made by fire to the LORD. Numbers
29:1-7
5 And David said to Jonathan, "Indeed tomorrow is the New Moon , and I should not fail to sit with the king to eat.
But let me go, that I may hide in the field until the third day at evening. 6
If your father misses me at all, then say, 'David earnestly asked permission of
me that he might run over to Bethlehem, his city, for there is a yearly
sacrifice there for all the family.' 7 If he says thus: 'It is well,' your
servant will be safe. But if he is very angry, be sure that evil is determined
by him. 8 Therefore you shall deal kindly with your servant, for you have
brought your servant into a covenant of the LORD with you. Nevertheless, if
there is iniquity in me, kill me yourself, for why should you bring me to your
father?" 1 Samuel 20:5-8
So he said to a servant, "Carry
him to his mother." 20 When he had taken him and brought him to his
mother, he sat on her knees till noon, and then died. 21 And she went up and
laid him on the bed of the man of God, shut the door upon him, and went out. 22
Then she called to her husband, and said, "Please send me one of the young
men and one of the donkeys, that I may run to the man of God and come
back."
23 So he said, "Why are you going to him today? It is neither the New
Moon nor the Sabbath."
And she said, "It is well."
2 Kings 4:19-24
…besides the burnt
offering with its grain offering for the New Moon , the regular burnt offering
with its grain offering, and their drink offerings, according to their
ordinance, as a sweet aroma, an offering made by fire
to the LORD. Numbers 29:6
5 And David said to
Jonathan, "Indeed tomorrow is the New Moon , and
I should not fail to sit with the king to eat. But let me go, that I may hide
in the field until the third day at evening. 6 If your father misses me at all,
then say, 'David earnestly asked permission of me that he might run over to
Bethlehem, his city, for there is a yearly sacrifice there for all the family.'
…
1 Samuel 20:5-8
18 Then Jonathan said
to David, "Tomorrow is the New Moon ; and you
will be missed, because your seat will be empty.
1 Samuel 20:18
The Seven Holy Annual Festivals Of God
37'These are the feasts of the LORD which you shall
proclaim to be holy convocations, to offer an offering made by fire to the
LORD, a burnt offering and a grain offering, a sacrifice and drink offerings,
everything on its day — 38 besides the Sabbaths of the LORD, besides your
gifts, besides all your vows, and besides all your freewill offerings which you
give to the LORD.
1. Passover
4 'These
are the feasts of the LORD, holy convocations which you shall proclaim at their
appointed times. 5 On the fourteenth day of the first month at twilight is the
Lord’s Passover.
2. Unleavened Bread
6 And on the fifteenth
day of the same month is the Feast of Unleavened Bread to the LORD; seven days
you must eat unleavened bread. 7 On the first day you shall have a holy
convocation; you shall do no customary work on it. 8 But you shall offer an
offering made by fire to the LORD for seven days. The seventh day shall be a
holy convocation; you shall do no customary work on it.'"
Leviticus 23:4-8
(Numbers 28:16-25)
Passover commemorates
the passing of the Angel of God through the land of Egypt. Then, the first born
of every Egyptian family was killed and the Israelites saved. Generally
and spiritually, it means the salvation of God through the blood of Jesus
Christ.
3. The Feast Of First Fruits
9 And the LORD spoke to
Moses, saying, 10 "Speak to the children of Israel, and say to them: ‘When
you come into the land which I give to you, and reap its harvest, then you shall
bring a sheaf of the first fruits of your harvest to the priest. 11 He shall
wave the sheaf before the LORD, to be accepted on your behalf; on the day after
the Sabbath the priest shall wave it. 12 And you shall offer on that day, when
you wave the sheaf, a male lamb of the first year, without blemish, as a burnt
offering to the LORD. 13 Its grain offering shall be two-tenths of an ephah of fine flour mixed with oil, an offering made by
fire to the LORD, for a sweet aroma; and its drink offering shall be of wine,
one-fourth of a hin. 14 You shall eat neither bread
nor parched grain nor fresh grain until the same day that you have brought an
offering to your God; it shall be a statute forever throughout your generations
in all your dwellings. Leviticus 23:9-14
4.
Pentecost (The Feast of
Weeks)
15 'And
you shall count for yourselves from the day after the Sabbath, from the day
that you brought the sheaf of the wave offering: seven Sabbaths shall be
completed. 16 Count fifty days to the day after the seventh Sabbath; then you
shall offer a new grain offering to the LORD. 17 You shall bring from your
dwellings two wave loaves of two-tenths of an ephah.
They shall be of fine flour; they shall be baked with leaven. They are the
first fruits to the LORD. 18 And you shall offer with the bread seven lambs of
the first year, without blemish, one young bull, and two rams. They shall be as
a burnt offering to the LORD, with their grain offering and their drink
offerings, an offering made by fire for a sweet aroma to the LORD.
19 Then you shall
sacrifice one kid of the goats as a sin offering, and two male lambs of the
first year as a sacrifice of a peace offering. 20 The priest shall wave them
with the bread of the first fruits as a wave offering before the LORD, with the
two lambs. They shall be holy to the LORD for the priest. 21 And you shall
proclaim on the same day that it is a holy convocation to you. You shall do no
customary work on it. It shall be a statute forever in all your dwellings
throughout your generations.
Leviticus 23:15-21
(Exodus 34:22; Numbers 28:26-31; Deuteronomy 16:9, 10)
5. The Feast of Trumpets
23 Then the LORD spoke
to Moses, saying, 24 "Speak to the children of Israel, saying: 'In the
seventh month, on the first day of the month, you shall have a Sabbath-rest, a
memorial of blowing of trumpets, a holy convocation. 25 You shall do no
customary work on it; and you shall offer an offering made by fire to the
LORD.'"
Leviticus 23:23-25 (Numbers 29:1-6)
39 'Also on the
fifteenth day of the seventh month, when you have gathered in the fruit of the
land, you shall keep the feast of the LORD for seven days; on the first day
there shall be a Sabbath-rest, and on the eighth day a Sabbath-rest. 40 And you shall take for yourselves on the
first day the fruit of beautiful trees, branches of palm trees, the boughs of
leafy trees, and willows of the brook; and you shall rejoice before the LORD
your God for seven days. 41 You shall keep it as a feast to the LORD for seven
days in the year. It shall be a statute forever in your generations. You shall
celebrate it in the seventh month. 42 You shall dwell in booths for seven days.
All who are native Israelites shall dwell in booths, 43 that your generations
may know that I made the children of Israel dwell in booths when I brought them
out of the land of Egypt: I am the LORD your God.'"
Leviticus 23:39-43
6.
Atonement (The Day of
Atonement)
26 And the LORD spoke
to Moses, saying: 27 "Also the tenth day of this seventh month shall be
the Day of Atonement. It shall be a holy convocation for you; you shall afflict
your souls, and offer an offering made by fire to the LORD. 28 And you shall do
no work on that same day, for it is the Day of Atonement, to make atonement for
you before the LORD your God. 29 For any person who is not afflicted in soul on
that same day shall be cut off from his people. 30 And any person who does any
work on that same day, that person I will destroy from among his people. 31 You
shall do no manner of work; it shall be a statute forever throughout your
generations in all your dwellings. 32 It shall be to
you a Sabbath of solemn rest, and you shall afflict your souls; on the ninth
day of the month at evening, from evening to evening, you shall celebrate your
Sabbath."
Leviticus 23:26-32 (Numbers 29:7-11)
7. Tabernacle
33 Then the LORD spoke
to Moses, saying, 34 "Speak to the children of Israel, saying: 'The
fifteenth day of this seventh month shall be the Feast of Tabernacles for seven
days to the LORD. 35 On the first day there shall be a holy convocation. You
shall do no customary work on it. 36 For
seven days you shall offer an offering made by fire to the LORD. On the eighth
day you shall have a holy convocation, and you shall offer an offering made by
fire to the LORD. It is a sacred assembly, and you shall do no customary work
on it. Leviticus 23:33-36
A Summary
Of The Festival Priorities Of God
1. The Blood of Jesus- The
blood of God, instituted as the Feast of Passover by the Almighty.
2. Fellowship and Communion
with God, instituted as the Feast of Unleavened Bread by the Almighty. Hebrew
10:14-17
3. Jesus is Alive,
instituted as Feast of First Fruit, by the Almighty because God is the
Beginning and the End - The Fountain of Life.
4. The Holy Spirit,
instituted as the Feast of Pentecost by the Almighty. Act1:8
The numeric value of
Pentecost is 50, which is equal to 1 + 7 x 7.
1 means the oneness of
God, who is the First, the Only and the Last.
7 means
the perfection of God.
7 * 7 means the
multiplicity of the gifts of the Holy Spirit, which gifts manifest as natural
abilities. Hence, “not by power nor by might, but by my spirit,” says the Lord.
5. Proclamation of God’s
Love to the World, know as Gospel (Good News) or Evangelism, instituted as
Feast of Trumpets by the Almighty. The trumpet is able to spread information,
loud and clear, and far and wide.
6. Jesus is Everlasting,
as the manifest Almighty Love, instituted as Atonement (At-one-ment, Reconciliation), by the Almighty.
7. The Glorious Return of
Jesus, as the Lord of Harvest, instituted as Feast Of
Tabernacles by the Almighty.
The
Importance Of The Seven Feasts
1. They were ordained by
the Almighty God, and therefore should not be played with.
2. They are the
manifestation of God’s perfect love for His children.
3. They are the everlasting guide posts for all
children of God.
4. They provide
opportunities as preventive, corrective and punitive (restorative) measures for
mankind.
5. In addition to the
Sabbath and New Moons, they are intended for the renewal of life, continuity of
blessings and certainty of victory.
6. They serve as standards
expected of humanity.
7. They are the
opportunities made available to humanity, for people to meet and have
fellowship with God.
Conclusions
Unfortunately, over the
past years, the anti-Christ has mislead mankind into
establishing and practicing various man-made doctrines including fabricated
feasts.
The Appointed Times Of God
1.
The Day Begins In The
Evening, Not At Midnight
…So the evening and the
morning were the first day.
Genesis 1:5
…So the evening and the
morning were the second day.
Genesis 1:8
13 So the evening and the morning were the third day.
Genesis 1:13
2. The Cardinal Time
In spirit, the appointed times for prayer are 6:00am, 9:00am, 12:00noon, 3:00pm, 6:00pm, 9:00pm, 12:00 midnight and
3.00am.
Angels visit the world
at the appointed times. Any person praying at the appointed times is likely to
get quick answers to his prayers. Therefore, the best time to start prayer is
about 15 or 10 minutes to the appointed time.
3. New Year Day
This is the first day
of the first month called Abib. A
day for New Moon feast.
4. Sabbatical Year (The Sabbath of the Seventh Year)
1 And the LORD spoke to Moses on Mount Sinai, saying, 2
"Speak to the children of Israel, and say to them: 'When you come into the
land which I give you, then the land shall keep a Sabbath to the LORD. 3 Six
years you shall sow your field, and six years you shall prune your vineyard,
and gather its fruit; 4 but in the seventh year there shall be a Sabbath of
solemn rest for the land, a Sabbath to the LORD. You shall neither sow your
field nor prune your vineyard. 5 What grows of its own accord of your harvest
you shall not reap, nor gather the grapes of your untended vine, for it is a
year of rest for the land. 6 And the Sabbath produce of the land shall be food
for you: for you, your male and female servants, your
hired man, and the stranger who dwells with you, 7 for your livestock and the
beasts that are in your land — all its produce shall be for food.
Leviticus 25:1-7
(Deuteronomy 15:1-11)
5.
The
Seventh Year
18
‘So you shall observe My statutes and keep My
judgments, and perform them; and you will dwell in the land in safety. 19 Then
the land will yield its fruit, and you will eat your fill, and dwell there in
safety.
20'And
if you say,” What shall we eat in the seventh year, since we shall not sow nor
gather in our produce?" 21 Then I will command My
blessing on you in the sixth year, and it will bring forth produce enough for
three years. 22 And you shall sow in the eighth year, and eat old produce until
the ninth year; until its produce comes in, you shall eat of the old
harvest. Leviticus 25:18-22
6.
Jubilee Year (The Year
of Jubilee)
8 'And you shall count seven Sabbaths of years for yourself,
seven times seven years; and the time of the seven Sabbaths of years shall be
to you forty-nine years. 9 Then you shall cause the trumpet of the Jubilee to
sound on the tenth day of the seventh month; on the Day of Atonement you shall
make the trumpet to sound throughout all your land. 10 And you shall consecrate
the fiftieth year, and proclaim liberty throughout all the land to all its
inhabitants. It shall be a Jubilee for you; and each of you shall return to his
possession, and each of you shall return to his family. 11 That fiftieth year
shall be a Jubilee to you; in it you shall neither sow nor reap what grows of
its own accord, nor gather the grapes of your untended vine. 12 For it is the
Jubilee; it shall be holy to you; you shall eat its produce from the field.
Leviticus 25:8-12
13 'In this Year of Jubilee, each of you shall return to
his possession. 14 And if you sell anything to your
neighbor or buy from your neighbor's hand, you shall not oppress one another.
15 According to the number of years after the Jubilee you shall buy from your
neighbor, and according to the number of years of crops he shall sell to you.
16 According to the multitude of years you shall increase its price, and according
to the fewer number of years you shall diminish its price; for he sells to you
according to the number of the years of the crops. 17 Therefore you shall not
oppress one another, but you shall fear your God; for I am the LORD your God. Leviticus 25:13-17
